It's been three years since I started dialysis and in reality it's been an eye-opening experience. I've learned to live with all the pains that come with kidney disease and getting treatment three times a week, which has not been easy.
I started this blog as a way to showcase my artwork and possible sell some pieces and while the process has been slow, I've learned a lot.
I've learned how to sustain the pain that comes from being pricked on my arm. How to deal with low blood pressure, how to eat better, and how life a semi-normal life.
I've also learned a lot about people. I've joined online support groups to see what others going through the same things as I are living on a daily basis.
I've heard about the countless struggles that people with kidney disease go through every day. During this time I lost a lot of people who I used to call friends, but only the good ones stuck around. I even lost my dog Bunny (pictured here) but all these pain and tears that I've endured have only made me stronger.
It's been a roller-coaster ride, but I'm going to try to use this platform as a way to help others and help myself stay positive and strong because this is part of living with kidney disease.
